Leyla is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Desk.com. In her more than six years at salesforce.com, Leyla has held a variety of leadership positions across product management, product marketing and business operations helping to build a scalable infrastructure to support the company’s business.
In her previous role, Leyla was responsible for building and growing the Salesforce AppExchange and its robust and innovative partner ecosystem of startups and ISVs building and selling the next-generation of enterprise apps. Prior to salesforce.com, Leyla worked in product management and marketing organizations at Primavera Systems, Evolve Software, Vivant and Eutron SPA. Leyla also spent 2 years as a Peace Corps officer in Mali West Africa.
Gary Benitt is a seasoned tech entrepreneur with 16+ years of diverse management experience, mostly within the customer service industry. Gary has managed various technology teams including development, quality assurance, and client implementations. He has broad knowledge across all facets of growing a business from startup mode into a mature organization.
Previously Gary was with AOL, after his prior startup (Goowy Media) was acquired in early 2008. At Goowy, Gary was one of the co-founders and served as the COO/CFO. Gary has now returned to his customer service roots and has teamed up with his long time friends to co-found Desk.com. Gary is the COO/CFO of Desk.com - responsible for, among other things, "everything else".
Sara Varni leads the rock star Desk.com marketing team, managing demand generation, public relations, events, communications, and more. Previously, Sara was was in charge of marketing for salesforce.com’s AppExchange, the #1 enterprise app marketplace where she helped hundreds of partners launch seven figure cloud businesses.
Before joining salesforce.com, Sara worked in mobile strategy at E! Networks. She holds a BS in Business Administration from Bucknell University and an MBA from The Anderson School of Management at UCLA. She is a mother of three and a country music junkie.
Paul has 15+ years experience working in successful sales teams, and now oversees all worldwide customer acquisition and business development efforts for Desk.com. He’s worked at salesforce.com for almost a decade, most recently managing several mid-market sales teams. Prior to joining salesforce.com he worked in field sales at ExactTarget, noHold, and Maxim Group.
Paul has a degree in Business Administration from California State University at Sacramento. He grew up tossing pizza dough at his family’s Italian restaurant. He’s also an avid soccer player and coaches his children’s teams.
Marie runs sales enablement and program management at Desk.com. Before joining salesforce.com in 2008, Marie held support, professional service, product marketing, and program management positions at Oracle, Peoplesoft, Evolve, and Primavera. She has a BS in Political Science from Santa Clara University.
Known as the "team mom," Marie’s responsible for making sure the Desk sales team has all of the tools and resources they need to succeed — even orange slices and gatorades to keep them energized. She has two children of her own and in her free time she’s an active volunteer for the San Carlos Educational Foundation and competes in obstacle course races like Tough Mudder.
Jonathan’s team is charged with driving the go to market strategy for Desk.com and scaling the organization for continued growth. He’s worked at salesforce.com since 2011, both in corporate development and managing business operations for the Marketing Cloud. Previously he worked as an M&A consultant at Deloitte and at Allegiance Telecom.
Jonathan has a BA in Business Administration from Franklin & Marshall College and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley. Jonathan spends most of his free time playing legos and exploring San Francisco playgrounds with his two young sons.
Scott currently serves as Head of Product Management for Desk.com. He believes that amazing customer experiences begin and end with service and is passionate about creating the products that help enable them. Most recently within salesforce.com’s Service Cloud organization, he drove key initiatives including Salesforce1's Publisher Actions and the revolutionary, patented Case Feed.
Before joining salesforce.com, Scott cut his entrepreneurial teeth building several consumer and enterprise software companies including a multi-brand e-commerce service with an integrated multi-channel customer service platform. In his (not-so) secret life, Scott has composed and produced a range of music for the likes of Oliver Stone, Disney, and Interscope. He graduated with a BA from the University of Michigan's School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
Brad currently serves as Chief Technology Officer for Desk.com continuing his 15+ year tenure focusing on improving customer service. Prior to Desk.com's founding Brad was at AOL responsible for development for AIM Chat and AIM Connect.
Previously, Brad was CTO for Talisma Corporation, Vice President, Product Strategy at eAssist Global Solutions. Prior to eAssist Brad was Vice President of Product Development for the CIM group at Divine, Inc. Brad also served as CTO and EVP of Product Development at eShare Communications and its successor Melita Corporation. Brad served as a Justice Louis Brandeis Scholar at Brandeis University and a Simon's fellow at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he conducted advanced organo-metallic research in chemistry. Brad is a NY native living on Long Island with his wife and 2 daughters.
